Voting: why it matters

Please vote on May 15, 2018. You may think that primaries are not important. Let me tell you why they are in Lincoln County, Oregon. County Commission is a bipartisan race. That means if a candidate for the office of County Commissioner gets 51% of the vote they become Commissioner and there is no runoff of the top two candidates in the general election. If only 1000 people in Lincoln County vote and one candidate gets 501 votes, they are the County Commissioner and you have missed your chance to select the candidate you wanted. Please vote in the May 15th election.
